What will it cost to become a Lottery Retailer?
If Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries approves your application you will be supplied with a Lottery Terminal and equipment, a signs & fixtures package, ticket terminal operation and social responsibility training, and all required Lottery supplies. There is no cost for these items aside from a requirement to carry content insurance to cover the value of the supplied items. A dedicated power source is also required to run the Lottery terminal and equipment, at your cost.
I have already applied to be a Lottery Retailer but was turned down. Can I apply again?
You may re-apply for a Lottery terminal one year from the date of the last Expression of Interest, or Application submitted.
What are the benefits to becoming a Lottery Retailer?
A lottery terminal at your location will attract customers and increase traffic flow. Customers who purchase Lottery will likely purchase other items within your store.
Commissions on the sale of Lottery tickets is 5%. Bonus commissions of an additional 1% to 3.5% are available, depending on your lottery sales volumes. 2% redemption commission is also available for prizes paid up to $1,000.
All Lottery Retailers have dedicated sales representatives who will work with your location to maximize revenue opportunities through product mix, promotions, merchandising and sales incentives.
I don’t have an existing store, but I am planning on starting up a new business. How do I apply?

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries regularly accepts Expressions of Interest from existing and prospective businesses to become a Lottery Retailer. To begin the process, please complete the Expression of Interest form and click submit when complete.
A Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries representative will contact you to discuss your Expression of Interest and next steps.
